Return, Exchange & Warranty Policy


Thank you for shopping with Buddha Trace. We want every piece you receive to arrive safely and match the description on our website. If you are not fully satisfied with an eligible item, or if your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us and we will help you resolve the issue.
This policy applies to purchases made on buddhatrace.com. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.
1. Return window
You may request a return within 30 calendar days after delivery for eligible items.
To be eligible for a return, the item must be:
Unused, unworn, and in the same condition that you received it
Returned in its original packaging
Complete with all accessories, certificates, tags, labels, and documentation
Returned with any anti-counterfeit labels, seals, or original factory shrink wrap intact, if applicable
Items that are used, damaged, altered, missing accessories, or returned without approval may not be accepted.
2. Non-returnable or restricted items
For change-of-mind returns, we do not accept returns or exchanges for the following items, unless required by applicable law:
Custom-made, personalized, commissioned, or made-to-order items
Blessed or consecrated items, where this restriction was clearly stated before purchase
Clearance, final-sale, or promotional items clearly marked as non-returnable before purchase
Opened or used Tibetan incense
Used gift cards
Thangka artworks that are custom-made, personalized, commissioned, blessed/consecrated, or clearly marked as final sale before purchase, where permitted by applicable law
This section does not apply to items that arrive damaged, defective, or incorrect. Damaged, defective, or incorrect items are covered by Buddha Trace as described below.
3. Damaged, defective, or incorrect items
Please inspect your order when it arrives.
If your item is damaged in transit, defective, or different from what you ordered, please contact us within 7 calendar days of delivery at service@buddhatrace.com.
Please include:
Your order number
A short description of the issue
Clear photos or videos of the item, packaging, shipping label, and damaged area, if applicable
If the issue is confirmed, we will arrange a suitable solution, such as a replacement, repair, exchange, or refund. For confirmed damaged, defective, or incorrect items, Buddha Trace will cover the approved return shipping cost or replacement shipping cost.
4. Exchanges
We only replace items if they are defective, damaged during transit, or incorrect due to our error.
For size, style, color, or change-of-mind exchanges, please contact us first. If the item is eligible, you may need to return the original item and place a new order. Availability of replacement items is not guaranteed.
5. Warranty
For jewelry and accessories, Buddha Trace offers a 6-month limited commercial warranty from the date of purchase. This warranty covers defects in materials, manufacturing, and craftsmanship under normal use.
The warranty does not cover:
Normal wear and tear, including minor scratches or natural oxidation
Accidental damage, dropping, impact, pulling, bending, or improper use
Damage caused by water, perfume, cosmetics, harsh chemicals, sweat, humidity, or extreme environments
Loss, theft, or missing parts after delivery
Repairs, resizing, alterations, or modifications made by an unauthorized third party
This commercial warranty is provided in addition to any statutory rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws. It does not exclude or reduce any legal guarantee or mandatory consumer rights that apply in your country or region.
6. How to start a return, exchange, or warranty claim
Please email service@buddhatrace.com with the subject line:
Return / Warranty - Order #XXXX
In your email, please include:
Your order number
The item you want to return or report
The reason for your request
Photos or videos if the item is damaged, defective, or incorrect
Our customer service team will review your request within 7 business days. If your request is approved, we will send you return instructions and the return address.
Please do not send any item back without contacting us first. Returns sent without approval may be delayed, refused, or returned to the sender.
7. Return shipping costs
For change-of-mind or personal-reason returns, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs. Original shipping costs are non-refundable, unless the return is due to our error or required by applicable law.
For approved returns caused by our error, such as an incorrect item, severe quality defect, or confirmed transit damage, Buddha Trace will cover the approved return shipping cost or replacement shipping cost.
For high-value returns, we strongly recommend using a trackable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee that we will receive a returned item unless tracking confirms delivery to the approved return address.
Duties, VAT, customs fees, import taxes, brokerage fees, and other destination-country charges are generally not refundable by Buddha Trace. Please contact your local customs office if you need help with tax or duty refund procedures.
8. Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you by email whether your refund has been approved or rejected.
If approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method within 14 business days after approval. Your bank, card provider, or payment service may take additional time to post the refund to your account.
Partial refunds may apply if an item is returned used, damaged, missing parts, missing accessories, or not in its original condition for reasons not caused by Buddha Trace.
9. Refused, unclaimed, or undeliverable packages
If a package is refused, unclaimed, returned due to unpaid duties or taxes, or cannot be delivered because the shipping address is incorrect or incomplete, any original shipping cost, return shipping cost, customs fee, duty, tax, or carrier charge may be deducted from the refund where permitted by applicable law.
