The Gold Circular Yamantaka thangka presents the wrathful blue deity in a compact round composition, surrounded by flames and standing above subdued figures. Yamantaka is traditionally understood as a fierce manifestation of Manjushri and is associated with wisdom overcoming fear, death, and ignorance. The Gold Circular designation distinguishes this edition from the separate Silver Circular and rectangular Yamantaka works.
Hand-painted in Lhasa, this 3.5 × 3.5 cm thangka uses fine cotton canvas, natural stone pigments, and 24K gold. The source names lapis, cinnabar, and gold among the layered materials and identifies Lixindi as the artist and an inheritor of intangible cultural heritage. A consecration ceremony is available upon request according to the original specifications. The circular field and gold-edition treatment should remain visible in the primary gallery image.
