Collection: Necklace

Choosing a Necklace Length and Layout

A necklace's listed length is a starting point for understanding where it will fall. Compare it with a necklace you already wear or measure a cord at the intended length. Consider your neckline and whether you want the piece to sit alone or alongside another necklace. If the design has a central element, check its dimensions separately from the chain or strand.

Review the full layout, including the fastening and any extender. Some listings offer length choices, while others describe a fixed size; confirm the selected option before adding it to your cart. Read the materials for the chain, beads, pendant and findings where those components are present. Check the package contents rather than assuming every item in a styled photograph is part of the necklace.

  • Length and position. Check the measuring method, adjustment range and the size of any central element to estimate the finished drop.
  • Components and closure. Compare the stated materials and clasp design, and confirm whether a pendant can be removed if that matters to you.
  • Wear and storage. Review the seller's care instructions and consider the weight, fastening access and storage space needed for the complete piece.
