What to Check Before Choosing a Pendant
A pendant's appearance depends on both the piece and the chain or cord carrying it. Compare the stated height and width with something you already wear, then check how much of that measurement includes the attachment at the top. Photographs are useful for judging the design, but a measurement gives you a better idea of how it will sit against a neckline.
Look for a clear description of the pendant's materials, finish and any separate components. Do not assume a chain shown in a photograph comes with the order. If you plan to use your own chain, check the opening that it needs to pass through and the weight it will carry. For a gift, confirm the recipient's preferred length and any known sensitivities before choosing.
- Scale and attachment. Check the pendant dimensions, weight where listed and attachment opening; request a measurement if compatibility is unclear.
- What is included. Confirm whether the order contains a pendant alone, a chain or a cord, and whether length options change the package.
- Wearing and care. Read the material-specific care instructions and think about clothing, storage and how often you expect to wear the piece.
